Compliance Partner FTC - 31st March
The role of the Compliance Partner is to work in collaboration with the Recruitment & Compliance Partners, as well as the wider People Team, to provide an effective and streamlined compliance and recruitment service, ensuring that our practices and processes are consistent and comply with regulatory requirements.
You will take the lead in developing and implementing compliance strategies, driving proactive and streamlined approaches that meet regulatory requirements across permanent, bank, and temporary workers, as well as volunteers and Trustees. Your work will ensure compliance with all regulatory obligations, safeguarding the children and young people in our care, and contribute to the overall Ofsted Care and CQC ratings.

Role Requirements
- Supervise the on-boarding and compliance process for all types of staff and temporary workers, as well as volunteers, including Trustees.
- Lead on core administrative services including issuing contracts and setting up new starters on HR and Payroll systems.
- Oversee and maintain recruitment records for all types of staff, temporary workers and volunteers (including Trustees), ensuring they are complete, accurate, and compliant with organisational and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and analyse data to produce accurate compliance reports, track KPIs to measure the impact of changes, and communicate findings and recommendations to key stakeholders.
- Lead regular personnel file reviews/audits for all new starters, and where relevant, escalate non-compliance issues to relevant Stakeholders.
- Ensure that the Recruitment & Compliance Team is inspection ready at all times and that recruitment and compliance practices meet the required regulatory standards and safeguard the children and young people we care for.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment law and regulatory requirements, promptly communicating changes and providing briefings to the wider team as needed.
- Make informed day-to-day decisions within the scope of your knowledge and competence, while planning your own workload to deliver on key priorities.
- Build strong internal and external relationships and provide an added value service, to all staff and external partners/ customers.
- Provide line management and supervision of the Recruitment & Compliance Officers, coordinating daily tasks and work programmes to ensure effective team performance.
- Provide training to junior members of staff across the wider People Team to support their development and growth and growing a culture of curiosity in relation to compliance.
- Assist in the streamlining and automation of processes to improve operational efficiency.
- It is envisaged that around 20% of the role will be recruitment focussed and 80% compliance focused
- Oversee and continuously improve the on-boarding and compliance process for staff, temporary workers, volunteers, and Trustees, ensuring timely completion of contracts, pre-employment checks and HR/payroll system setup for new starters.
- Act as the owner of the Compliance Manuals, ensuring all process and procedure changes are accurately captured and reflected in the Safer Recruitment Policy during its annual update.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for Access Onboarding and Better Impact, for the team and broader organisation.
- Ensure HR systems and trackers are accurately maintained, implementing quality assurance measures to uphold data integrity.
- Monitor compliance of all staff, temporary worker and volunteer files, including Right to Work and professional registrations.

Online Searches
In accordance with statutory safeguarding and child protection guidance, online searches will be conducted for shortlisted candidates before interview.
