Within the Surrey VCFS sector there has been an EDI Steering group for over 2 years, and with recent funding from Surrey Country Council, this role has been created to champion EDI initiatives in Surrey’s charities, to contribute to creating a fairer, more inclusive and equal Surrey.

This work will enhance the VCFS sector’s ability to ensure all communities are able to access services, these services are shaped with diverse voices and insights and organisations reflect the richness of diverse communities in all levels of operation and delivery.
We are seeking someone who has a specialism in equity, diversity and inclusion, with excellent communication and influencing skills and the ability to engage and work with numerous stakeholders across the VCFS, public and private sectors.
You will be a champion for EDI and bring your knowledge, experience, and insights to inform best in class EDI approaches and insights to achieve system change.
Experience of delivering equity, diversity and inclusion strategies is essential, as is your current knowledge of equity, diversity and inclusivity legislation and emerging policy.
As the first role of its kind at county level, you will have the opportunity to be a pioneer in this area, driving initiatives to drive positive change and chart a path which supports a more equitable Surrey.
We are seeking someone who can make an immediate impact, so if you have the strategic capability combined with practical experience to ‘get things off the ground’ then we would love to hear from you.
